How does UpStart Bootcamp collect personal information?
We collect personal information in a few ways: (1) subscriptions to our blog updates and email newsletters (email addresses), (2) comments to our blog posts (comments, email addresses, names and websites), (3) contact requests for UpStart services (email addresses), (4) contact requests for general information (names, email addresses and feedback), (5) use of diagnostic tools (email addresses and quiz answers), and (6) purchases of online courses (email addresses, names). We may also collect information that is in no way personally identifiable. This may include your operating system, internet browser, domain name of your internet service provider, and web sites you visit directly before and after your visit to upstartbootcamp.com.
How does UpStart Bootcamp use personal information?
The more we know about you, the more we can customize our web site and products to your preferences and interests. We can contact you at the email address you provide for any reasonable reason including your account, the website or the information you’ve requested.
At no time does any party other than UpStart Bootcamp have access to your personally identifiable information, and you will never be contacted by any other party unless it is in direct response to a request you have made. The only exceptions are that we may disclose personally identifiable information (i) in response to legal process, for example, in response to a court order or subpoena, (ii) in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take actions regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of another person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law, or (iii) in the event we are acquired by or merged with another company.
When you sign up for our email updates, you will always be given the chance to opt-out of these communications.
Non-personally identifiable information (such as stated above) may be shared in aggregate form with our partners but your personally identifiable information will never be disclosed to them.
What happens to my personal information on a third party sites used to deliver UpStart Bootcamp products or services?
UpStart uses third party websites to deliver some UpStart products and services. For example, we sell our books through Amazon. When you are on those sites, you are subject those sites’ Privacy polices.
Who else has access to my personal information?

We have also contracted with network partners to monitor certain pages of our website and RSS feeds for the purpose of reporting website and RSS traffic, statistics, and/or other activities on our website. Where authorized by us, these network partners may use cookies, web beacons, and/or other monitoring technologies to compile anonymous statistics about our website visitors. No personally identifiable information is collected by or transferred to these network partners. Is there anything else I should know about my privacy?
Any information you disclose voluntarily in comments on blog posts or in any forums becomes public information. We cannot control the actions of our site users and advise you to use your discretion in sharing information about yourself on the internet.
